What is CBD?
CBD (short for Cannabidiol) is one of the most studied cannabinoids found in hemp and cannabis, providing numerous health benefits without intoxicating effects. CBD is processed by the body through the Endocannabinoid System and research suggests it may be useful in treating a wide spectrum of ailments.
What is the Endocannabinoid System?
The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a group of cannabinoid receptors found throughout the body including the Central Nervous System (CNS), Peripheral Nervous System (PNS), and Immune System.
CBD receptors can be found throughout the body including inside of, but not limited to, tissues, organs, and glands. This is thought to be a key reason as to why CBD may be so effective in treating such a broad spectrum of illnesses and symptoms associated with so many different diagnoses.
Is CBD legal?
Yes, Hemp-derived CBD products are legal in all 50 states and over 40 countries.
Where is your CBD derived from?
Our CBD is extracted from industrial USA-grown hemp, grown without use of pesticides, and is extracted through a kosher extraction process.
Do your CBD products contain THC?
There are trace amounts of THC; however, all our products are lab-verified and comply with the .3% THC Federal Mandate limit. The levels of THC vary in hemp but must be less than .3% and thus are non-intoxicating.
What Does “Full Spectrum” mean?
“Full Spectrum” hemp oil refers to the extraction method of the CBD in which the full spectrum of cannabinoids are maintained in the extraction. This differs from isolated CBD in which the CBD is isolated from the other cannabinoids. Full spectrum is thought to be superior to isolated CBD because of the “entourage effect” of cannabinoids, in which cannabinoids work synergistically. Thus, having the broad spectrum of cannabinoids present in our products increases the effects of not only the CBD but also the other cannabinoids such as CBN, CBG, and CBC, among others.
Do you test the quality of the hemp in your products?
Yes, our hemp is 3rd Party Lab-tested for heavy metals and pesticides. Extracts and oils are tested to verify potency and quality.
Are your products Vegan?
Our tinctures are Vegan. The only ingredient we use that is non-vegan is beeswax found in our topicals.
How do I take the CBD tinctures?
We recommend holding the oil underneath your tongue for at least 10 seconds, or as long as you can. Studies have shown that sublingual (under the tongue) intake is superior to just swallowing and digesting. Squeeze the bottle top firmly to draw a full dropper of the product.
Why is there a grapefruit warning?
CBD and grapefruit share a similar enzyme (P450) that can affect the way your body metabolizes certain medications. Treat CBD with the same caution as the instructions involving grapefruit and your medications.
Are there any side effects associated with CBD?
Research shows that CBD is mainly very well tolerated by a vast majority of consumers. The most common adverse effects reported were tiredness, changes in appetite, and diarrhea. These were more likely to be reported at very high dosages.
